Attendees will utilize a space suit heads-up display (HUD) that is being developed by Virginia Tech students for the 2022 NASA SUITS Challenge. The HUD is projected using augmented reality (AR), and attendees will utilize it to accomplish tasks such as navigation and lunar rover control.

The development of this HUD was a multidisciplinary approach spanning arts and engineering. Our graphics designers utilized software such as Figma and Adobe Illustrator to develop the visual look and flowchart for our UI/UX, our software engineers programmed those concepts to life using Unity, C#, and the Microsoft HoloLens II, and our hardware engineers utilized technologies such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Autodesk Inventor to develop external devices to interface with our HUD.
