ICAT Residency

The ICAT Residency is a program designed for visionary artists and scholars whose work bridges the realms of art and science. Hosted at Virginia Tech’s Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology (ICAT), a creative hub known for its leadership in spatial audio, immersive environments, and projection mapping, this residency offers unparalleled access to cutting-edge facilities and vibrant interdisciplinary research communities.
Residents are supported in pushing the boundaries of creative inquiry while engaging with a dynamic network of technologists, researchers, and makers. They are encouraged to explore interdisciplinary creativity through collaboration with faculty, students, and peers across disciplines.
Three residency opportunities are offered each year—in the fall, spring, and summer.
