Interested in giving your students the unique opportunity to participate in two-way conversations with actual scientists and learning about their amazing exhibits? Well, the 2020 Virginia Tech Science Festival now welcomes schools to sign their students up as learner groups to take part in a unique virtual event that will safely connect students with scientists. As a learner group your students will be assigned to one of our many exhibits to meet scientists, learn about the work they do, and ask questions through either teleconferenced or in-person meetups. We'll take care of connecting you with scientists and hosting the Meetup via Zoom. You just bring your enthusiasm, your questions, and your willingness to have two-way conversations with scientists.
These Meetups will also be recorded, edited, and then later showcased on the Virginia Tech Science Festival website on festival day! If you are interested in signing up your class to be a learner group, please fill out the application down below. We will begin scheduling Meetups on August 25. Apply by then for top consideration. Learner group applications close September 30.
