Let’s Take Turns in Playful Reading with AI Voices!

Join us for a playful, interactive storytime where you can assign AI voices to characters and take turns reading aloud with AI and human partners. Enjoy a hands-on experience of how technology supports fun, engaging shared reading!
We will introduce TaleMate, an online program our team created for interactive and playful reading with AI voices. Built with voice-based AI agents, TaleMate was developed for young children and parents through an iterative design process combining developmental science, human-computer interaction, and math education. We’ll offer a hands-on demo in which participants can try TaleMate, taking turns reading aloud with AI and each other.
