Quadraphonic Spatial Audio Workshop

Participants in this workshop will experience the possibilities of immersive audio in its most basic configuration – a quadraphonic speaker array. This configuration allows for the projection of sound from the front, side, and back of the listener. As part of this workshop, participants are encouraged to bring in their own recordings, which will be spatialized during the workshop. Among techniques explored will be point-source panning, perimeter panning, and Ambisonics. Participants who want to explore immersive sound beyond quadraphonic sound are encouraged to consider attending the Spatial Audio Tidepool.
