ICAT Playdate — Immersive audio and visual simulation in healthcare
April 5, 2024
VT ICAT and the Carilion Center for Simulation, Research, and Patient Safety collaborated to bring ICAT Tesseract technology to Roanoke to explore healthcare delivery. ICAT mini SEAD funding allowed for cocreation and the development of an immersive, adaptive, and multipurpose medical simulation space for high-fidelity representation of actual work environments. Mini SEAD funding led to additional grant support to investigate the impact of the environment on patient care.
