ICAT Playdate — The Beat Goes On
March 29, 2024
Blacksburg boasts the first dementia-friendly business in the Commonwealth and is regularly cited as one of the best places to retire. The Beat Goes On from the Engagement Center for Creative Aging brings together college students, persons experiencing dementia, and their caregivers to benefit from singing together in a group, while breaking down stereotypes and stigmas associated with aging and dementia. Further, The Beat Goes On, aims to continue to support and grow the Town-Gown relationship between the Virginia Tech student community and our older adult population, with a choir project of our own, with a big data twist.
