ICAT Playdate — SciArt Fusion: Discoveries from Experiments in SciArt Collaboration

In the spring of 2021 the Center for Communicating Science at Virginia Tech catalyzed 8 SciArt collaborations We called on 14 creative people we identified as "artists" and 14 creative people we identified as "scientists" or "researchers". We brought them together to explore where their curiosity might take them following an interactive day-long workshop which fostered possible resonances, and ignited proposals. We gave modest funding to 8 of these projects to support their explorations. Join us for this playdate to see what was learned! Do science and art go together like peanut butter and jelly?
