Diorama 2.0 - Projection Mapping and Physical Computing for the Museum Space

Diorama 2.0 is a concept that I explored as part of the design team for the Natural History Museum of Utah (NHMU) in their exhibit Nature All Around Us. NHMU saw projection mapping and physical computing as a way to bring new life to the concept of the museum diorama. We completed four life-size interactives for the Museum: Magic House, Urban Forest Canopy, Wild Urban Interface, and Main Street Mural Interactive. Each piece used a mixture of live-action animal cinematography, database-driven media management, projection mapping, and various forms of physical computing to create a novel, ever-changing, and interactive experience for the museum's audience.
