Arts Fusion: Edgar Mitchell

Friday, September 20, 2013

Edgar Mitchell, a NASA astronaut, was the lunar module pilot of Apollo 14. He spent nine hours working on the lunar surface and was the sixth person to walk on the moon. The event began with a movie and discussion at the Lyric Theatre, followed by a lecture at the Fralin Life Sciences Institute Auditorium. ArtsFusion, presented by the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology, is a series of thought-provoking events that bring cutting-edge artists, scientists, engineers, and designers to the Virginia Tech campus to explore topics across disciplines.
