Reza Tasooji and Tanner Upthegrove present the process for creating a social virtual reality experience for the Cube. See the entire development pipeline starting with the creation of a 3D model in Maya, followed by the implementation into the Unity gaming engine, and finally displayed on head mounted displays (HMDs). Oculus Rift virtual reality and Osterhaut Design Group augmented reality HMDs are tracked with 24 motion capture cameras from Qualisys. Motion capture cameras identify the location of each HMD to provide real-time location data to navigate the 3D world.
This Playdate will take place in the Cube.
