2019 ICAT Creativity and Innovation Day Proposals

2019 ICAT Creativity and Innovation Day Proposals

ICAT Creativity and Innovation Day will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 10 AM to 4 PM. This event is a celebration of innovation and process at the nexus of science, engineering, arts, and design (SEAD). The event features projects funded by ICAT, projects from transdisciplinary courses, projects with ICAT-affiliated faculty, and community projects that work at the nexus of SEAD.

Our theme this year is "Perspective."

INFORMATION FOR EXHIBITORS

  1. Exhibits will need to be staffed from 11 AM to 4 PM on Monday, May 6, 2019.
  2. The default exhibit will go in a roughly 10x10 space at the Moss Arts Center and be equipped with a 6' table and two folding chairs.
  3. Most exhibit spaces do not have wall space for posters. Do not plan to bring posters unless you (1) can assure that they are engaging to a public audience, AND (2) are bringing a way to display them, such as an easel or stand.
  4. It's about creativity and innovation, so feel free to propose something bigger or that requires different logistics. We'll do our best.
  5. Exhibitors at ICAT Creativity and Innovation Day are eligible to win awards for innovation, process documentation, museum exhibit potential, and working at the nexus of science, engineering, arts, and design. Award winners receive a 3D printed trophy and public recognition.
  6. Approximately 1,000 people attend ICAT Creativity and Innovation Day.
  7. Submit your proposal by March 22.
