Community Playdate: A2RU

Friday, February 7, 2014
Location & Time:

Moss Arts Center - The Sandbox (8:30-9:30am)

In 2012, ICAT joined as a founding member to the Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (A2RU), which focuses on "generating knowledge, advocacy, and resources that enable universities to integrate artists and arts practices, fostering highly adaptive creators and thinkers. This community meeting will be led by several of our affiliated students, who will be attending the a2ru Emerging Creatives Student Conference. It is intended for students of all disciplines who are interested in crossing creative boundaries and actualizing creative projects. As a convocation of students from a2ru partner universities across the country, the conference will focus on providing the tools and inspiration needed to help this group of emerging creatives develop, execute, and sustain new interdisciplinary, collaborative endeavors.

"Community Playdates" are open discussions of topics and ideas from ICAT, Virginia Tech, and the community. We welcome any interested students, faculty, and community members to join these discussions, and enjoy coffee/pastries from the Next Door Bake Shop!
